Hey! I’m Kayla – your neighbor from Houston, Texas. I’ve lived in Texas for five years, but I lived most of my life in the great state of Pennsylvania. I met my spouse in college where he was a track/CC athlete and encouraged me to work on my own fitness.
My journey turned into a roller coaster after that, but in the last five years I’ve become more focused on building a full picture of health and wellness that includes physical, mental, social, spiritual and financial health. I’ll be sharing tools and resources that I value in my effort to live my best life, so that hopefully I can help you too.
One thing I really believe in is building community around your health, fitness and wellness needs. I have many communities that help and support me in my goals, like my fitness coaching group, my gym family, my running club, my cooking club, my outdoors club, my church, my (local) street…I could go on and on. The friends I have made in these groups have been critical to making my personal journey both sustainable and enjoyable.
I’m not a yoga teacher, registered dietician, a doctor, or a personal trainer, etc, etc. I’ll share tools and resources that have helped me, and in some cases my opinion based on my own experiences.
